What a remarkable life my Aunt Joan lived. I will miss her spirit, self-awareness, and for being ever so insightful. I will also miss her sharing family history about my father, aunt, uncle, and grandparents, and even my great grandmother Margaret. We even broke down Margaret’s clam chowder recipe and Yes, Margaret in fact used canned condensed milk. I’m forever grateful and it was such a pleasant surprise when she came to my wedding. In recent years, it was fun talking to her about LA history from Jazz clubs to restaurants and in the sports world the Rams returning to LA and eventually winning the Super Bowl. Rothdell Trail and all of us share a tremendous void with her passing.
